Buncrana Gears Up For Another Great Festival
Last March the town of Buncrana, in the north of the Inishowen peninsula, Co. Donegal hosted its first traditional arts festival.
Few towns in Ireland can compare with Buncrana in terms of the amount and quality of musical talent it has yielded over the years.

To recognize this, Ar Ais Arís, Buncrana's Traditional Arts Festival was created as a celebration of the wealth of talent to emerge from the area. The inaugural festival was a homecoming of sorts for the many musicians, singers and dancers who were born and reared in the town and its environs, and who now rank among the top artists performing internationally. Of course last year also saw the return to the stage, after a 15 year absence of the legendary Pyros.

And on March 30th 2007 they are going to do it all again!

Moya releases Christmas CD and lines up some shows
It is great when old friends come to town to visit. Atlanta is not a natural place for people from Ireland to visit so when someone from home comes to town it is cause for celebration. It is a double celebration when that person is my dear old friend Moya Brennan, one of the finest singers and performers to ever grace the stage. Moya is doing two shows next weekend in Atlanta and will be promoting her new and gorgeous Christmas CD. For more information on the concerts and the CD CLICK HERE

Hit and Run Bluegrass - by Joe Ross
Hit & Run Bluegrass’ second CD, “Without Maps or Charts,” is a welcome continuation of the enchanting repertoire of this Colorado-based band formed in 2001. Solidly one of the most engaging and dynamic co-ed bluegrass bands on the scene, they’ve already won the band contests at Rockygrass, Telluride and the SPBGMA International Band Championship in Nashville. Their hard traveling, touring, and marketing of this project make them a cut above the rest of the many indie bluegrass artists trying to make a bigger name for themselves.
