In an hour or so we will be heading out the door with the inevitable feeling that we have forgotten something. The kids are already packed and gone to the places they are staying so we wont have a “Home Alone” situation on our hands.
And in a matter of hours we will be flying from Atlanta to Paris and then on to Dublin. The weather is looking a little cold and damp for our arrival but we cannot wait all the same. The music is going to be wonderful and I am going to be so happy taking Lupa around Ireland with me for the first time. But most of all I will be very happy to see my friends in Buncrana.
By this time tomorrow we will be rounding the turn at the village of Fahan where, when you pass the last house in the village the great view of Lough Swilly opens up for the first time and we will be on the home stretch to Buncrana, Co Donegal. See you there.

Dear John and Lupa, Fantastic to read your feelings for Buncrana, not that we have lived there only spent holidays in the Brown Door House for the last 14 years. The House is old with no mains hot water but Grandad Pops was born in the front room. It is ,just that feeling as you drive round the corner and see the heart of Loch Swilley or Lochs Willey as our children giggle in the back.
Great to meet you both and may catch you another year in O’Flaherty’s.
Derry Jounnal next!
Regards
Trish, Dan, Michael and Mary.
