My first few projects have started in recent weeks so I have been snowed under with various aspects of podcasting and content creation. One of the things that is very obvious is that while the word “Podcasting” is everywhere these days, there is still a large percentage of active computer users who do not fully understand exactly what it is.

So in the coming weeks I will try to lay it out in simple terms. I will attempt to explain what it is, why it is important and how, I believe, it will become the normal way to listen to and watch entertainment. Podcasting is only a small part of a brave new world of how we get the stuff we want to watch and listen to and I think these new delivery systems will not only impact how we entertain ourselves but how learn.

The coolest and most important thing I think we can say about this new media explosion is that we can and should all be creating something. That we can find our own voice and an audience who will take notice of it. Whether you are a musician, a comedian or an educator you can find real day to day uses for the technologies and solutions that have been given to us.

So jump in head first and enjoy the world of Podcasting and the my day to day world in content creation.
