What an exciting week that was and what a good result at the end. Today America feels different to me. For the first time in years I feel hope a better future for a lot of people. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. While I know we don't celebrate this very American holiday in Ireland, it is nice to spend some time thinking of what we should be thankful for. I know too that the economy is bad. I know of two friends of mine who have lost their jobs in recent weeks. While there is not really a good time to lose your job, the last few weeks before Christmas is probably the worst, especially when you have children. So for those of us who have enough work to live on and enough to eat we should definitely be thankful. And we should think of those less fortunate. 
Hey everyone. Another week has gone by and the world is still turning. Things are not looking great in the economy here and of course that trickles to the rest of the world faster than we would like. Jobs are being lost all across America. Yet there is hope and we are all waiting now for January 20th to see if the man that so many have pinned thier hopes on can make good his promises. Despite the grim ecomonic news there is still that hope. I am hoping that people can at least get through this Christmas and no more jobs get lost between now and then.
