Another episode of Across The Pond airs today at 1pm GMT on my favourite little radio station in the world ICR FM . Broadcasting to the Inishowen Peninsula and parts of Northern ireland, ICR brings you news and commentary from my homeplace in Ireland. It is a great leap forward in technology when I can turn on my computer in the morning and hear local news from my home town thousands of miles away. It is even more special to be able to play music for all my old friends back home, to share some of the great music of America with my Irish friends and the great music of Ireland with my American friends. Some great music on this week's show includes new tracks from Jim Lauderdale from his CD "Could We Get Any Closer". I also have music from Beoga, Brian Kennedy and Ryan Adams. So something for everyone in the show today I think. Don't forget you can now listen to the shows right here on JigTime shortly after they air in Ireland and you can also subscribe to the podcast on i-Tunes and have it delivered right to your i-Pod. Here we are with show number 40. Its been a fun ride so far and I hope I have a lot more shows to do in the coming years.  Another week has flown by already and here we are with show number 39. Thanks again to all of you for your support week after week and for your emails and suggestions for music on Across The Pond.
Lupa and I had a fun weekend with some great music last Friday at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Steve Earle was in town playing music from his latest CD "Townes" a selection of songs by the late Townes Van Zandt. Thanks to our good friend Dave for inviting us to the show. It was a dramatic concert too when about half way through the gig the skies opened and a huge thunderstorm sent the entire audence running for cover. As the rain blinded us I could still hear a very brave Steve Earle singing amid some very dangerous lightning. On this week's show we have new music from Maura O'Connell's latest CD "Naked with Friends" Also music today from Rory + Joey and many more. Podcast details will be released soon.
